Project 1 is a group task where we were required to form a group of 9 to 10 person. My group members are Ong Huey Fen, Lim Yee Qun, Tan Shing Yeou, Peh Ker Neng, Yap Wei Tyng, Lee Yaue Shen, Phua Jing Sern and Liew Chung Hooi. For this project, we were told to provide an A4 hardcopy report of the project and a multimedia presentation of the entire project from porposal to completion. In order to come out with a report and a multimedia presentation, we have to identify an environmental-community related issue in our local community and the issues have to be genuine and we have to provide solution that have an impact to the environment and community. So, in order to collect variety of observation before making suggestions and proposal, we have to visit our proposed site often. The site my group proposed is Sunway Low Cost Flat, PJS 7/15, Bandar Sunway. After selection of site, my group members and I started of with determining the issues found on site and have a few discussions on the problem solution.

 

Through this project, I am able to design a sustainable environment creatively in order to increase awareness of current environmental issues locally and able to explore the current environmental circumstances. Furthermore, through this project, I am able to have an opportunity to work wiith the community and for the community as what I wanted to do it earlier. Other than those stated above, I have a better understanding and able to explain the priciples of sustainabily from environmental and social perspective.
